The Bastille Day Los Angeles Festival 2010 to promote French culture and heritage, and celebrates the eternal relations of the French and American citizens. In France, Bastille Day commemorates the storming of the Bastille in 1789, the start of the French Revolution. The ninth year, the event promises to be one of the best in the city for cultural events throughout the day festivities. During the day, participants experience the sights, sounds and tastes of French law in their own backyard. They thrive in the French joie de vivre, playing the popular game petanque, sample the food and wine from France, enjoy a spectacular live entertainment, dancing, or just sit back and relax, while a French-style outdoor picnic.

French organizations, and city officials in favor of the Bastille Day Festival for the past eight years, and to encourage Angelenos to participate in the event, because it will promote better understanding between the citizens of French and American culture.
