Tornado and storm swept across the Midwest overnight, destroying dozens of homes and upending school buses and police cars in a mile-long path of destruction in a nuclear facility, and tear off siding elsewhere. At least five people were killed, including a child, authorities said. The National Weather Service reports a tornado touched in four central Illinois have been confirmed. Tornadoes have been reported in Indiana and Michigan.

Damage ran way from Pennsylvania, Illinois and Michigan, and the wind, rain and cooler temperatures expected throughout Sunday. No tornado was confirmed in Ohio, as of late Sunday, although the National Weather Service, several reports and photographs of the storm, "said Walter Fitzgerald, a hydrometeorological technician for the division of Cleveland.
