Alcoa said the interim agreement addresses the key issues in the negotiations that began on 17 May, Mick Wallis, President Alcoa's Employee Relations Council, said the agreement is fair and addresses of employees, the cost of Alcoa, and that the provisional agreement on the future good-paying jobs in the plants.
