Ampyra used to improve walking in patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Dalfampridine produced an increase in walking speed in clinical trials. Exactly how it works is unknown. It is believed to enhance the functioning of nerves.Talk to your doctor about AMPYRA know whether it is safe for you. Do not take it, if ever attacked, or if you have certain kidney problems, because it increases the risk of seizure. Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems.

Never take more than one tablet twice a day AMPYRA (approximately 12 hours),. Please do not exceed 2 tablets in a 24-hour period, it increases the risk of attacks. If you miss a dose AMYPRA not the missed dose.Not to be taken with other medicines AMPYRA aminopyridine, including the compound 4 - aminopyridine (4-AP sometimes, fampridine).AMPYRA can cause severe side effects including kidney or bladder infections. The most common side effects include urinary tract infections, sleep problems (insomnia), dizziness, headache, nausea, weakness, back pain and balance problems. Tell your doctor if these side effects bother you, or do not go away.
