cinco de mayo history

cinco de mayo history

Cinco de Mayo has become a major party. Mexico, the holiday is really low. It has gained popularity in America in recent years, with big reasons to celebrate the fifth day of May each year. What could be better than the great Mexican food and Margarita today? Really nothing. Of course, Cinco de Mayo is more than good food and drink. This is the Mexicans beat the French army in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862nd.Even Barack Obama will be the excitement of this festive holiday. Tonight, he hosts the traditional Cinco de Mayo reception at the White House Rose Garden. As we learned in yesterday's interview, Laura Bush, to Oprah, the Obamas actually have to pay for food.

At least that's what I think. I was not clear if this was the official events, or even the private rooms.A relative of the mother Ignacio, Juan Seguin was vice president of the Republic of Texas. Sgt Zaragoza remained loyal to the Mexican government. After the Revolution, Sgt. Zaragoza, settled in Matamoros. Ignacio's parents sent him to the seminar in Monterrey. Ignacio in Zaragoza is not the priesthood, but would have thought a military capacity. When refused admission to the academy cadets, he signed a shooter. A teenager, Zachary Taylor fought in the Mexican-American War. President Juarez admitted that it is able, and made Minister of War. The United States has its own civil war, France sent troops to occupy Mexico in a debt dispute.

05/05/1862 But, the Mexican Army led by General Zaragoza against the French in Puebla. The conventional wisdom that no army could stand against one of Mexico's top professional teams in Europe. Zaragoza has proved everyone wrong. The victory surprised everyone - friend and foe. Zaragoza was the fact that the capital Benemerito de la Patria received. Somewhere down the road, he contracted typhoid and died at the age of the 33rd Puebla was the decisive battle of the war. That would be years before Mexico got rid of the French. But in the long war, remembering something learned on the basis of a young Mexican soldiers, a general in Texas: a winner.
